One of my family's favourite hotels in Tokyo is Grand Prince Takanawa in Shinagawa. We particularly like their Japanese tatami suite which is rather large and spacious for Tokyo standards. It costs 30,000 yen per night, but that includes three breakfasts and around 6,000 yen worth of vouchers. This room includes two twin beds as well as two sets of Japanese futons (mattresses), ideal for a family of four.
Yokoso Japan!
Japan welcomes you! Since 2008, my family and I have been making annual trips to Japan. We love the culture, the country and of course, it's food. This blog is a photo journal of all the places we've been to in Japan as well as the food we have eaten. If you have never been to Japan, we hope that you will find this blog useful when you are planning to travel to Japan for your holidays. If you have, we hope that you will find interesting places here that you have not visited before. Enjoy!

Yokoso Japan - Welcome!
Japan is a fascinating country, at least to my family and I. Since 2004 I have been going there for business. During 2005, I travel to Tokyo and Osaka once every two weeks for projects. Since 2008, my family and I have been returning to Japan for holidays. We like the culture, the people, and the country. The environment is generally very clean. The people are also very polite, although the hustle and bustle of the big cities (largest being Tokyo and next Osaka) do make them rather impersonal at times. We are also impressed with the clean public toilets, which are strong indicators of the civic mindedness of the people. This blog is our photo journal of the places we've been, the little things that we observe and of course, the yummy food. Hope you find all these interesting and helpful too if you have not been to Japan. Arigato!
